The exact speed at which the great white shark swims has not been established yet. However, in one of the cases where it had attacked the surfboard in South Farallon Islands of California, the estimated speed of its attack on the video camera gives some clues about its speed of swimming. Today, the experts believe that the white shark is capable of cruising at a top speed of 25 miles per hour. However, some scientists also believe that it can attain burst speed of perhaps more than 35 miles per hour.
