Whale shark is by far the biggest living fish which means its mouth would be 4.9 feet across. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it poses significant threat to divers. Quite the opposite, this shark appears to be easy to control. What’s more interesting, whale shark is often seen swimming alongside the divers and possibly enjoying it.
The young individuals seem to enjoy the company of swimmers even more. Its mouth consists of 27,000 teeth but each tooth measures about 3 millimetres. That’s why it relies on some of the smallest marine organisms like plankton for its diet. Thus, it is far from truth to even think about a whale shark attacking a human.
